Synopsis: One shot. Harvey Specter wants to start a family. He wants one and he wants one now.
“It’s instant family, who wouldn’t want that?” Harvey asked. Inspecting
each and every one of the trinkets found on mike’s bookshelf.
He had been off the radar for almost 2 days. Mike and Donna were worried
sick as the man had been untraceable for the last 48 hours. His phone was shut
off and the door man at his apartment had confirmed that he hadn’t come home for
the past couple of days. They were about to file a missing person report, but
just as they were, Harvey had barged into Mike’s apartment. Mike phoned Donna
saying that he had found him. Harvey muttered something about him finding the
younger associate.
“You Harvey! You don’t want that!” Mike yelled.
“I know you like living big! But this is not the way, Harvey!” Mike continued
giving the older man a huge lecture. This was crazy talk even for Harvey.
Truthfully, he had never seen Harvey like this. He was known to go off the
rail sometimes, but this reeked of desperation.
‘Could this be an early attack of midlife crisis?’ Mike silently thought.
“Think about it Mike, I don’t need to go through all of the hassle of
raising a child, no endless nights of crying and changing diapers,” he
reasoned.
“Yeah! But don’t you want a mini Harvey Specter running around the house
yelling: don’t play the odds, play the man?” Mike shrugged.
There was hardly any hope reasoning with Harvey when he was like this.
“Hmmm! The world could always use another Harvey Specter. Alright Mike! You
win! I won’t adopt you this time, but do’t think that I won’t try again
someday,” He said laughing his ass off.
“On second thought! Not another Specter! It would be catastrophic when your
egos collide.” Mike said trying to impersonate a TV reporter. Then he sat on
the couch deflated.
Even when he was high, Harvey was still Harvey.
